Into The Mountains
Tej Kohli & Ruit Foundation teams made their way up the mountains to reach some of the most remote villages in the world, one of which Dr Ruit was born.
The camp took place in Olangchung Gola on the Nepalese/Tibetan border. The journey included a tough 11-hour hike to over 10,000 ft.

Many people across the hills of Nepal are mostly hidden from the world. Despite the scenic beauty Nepal’s hills have to offer, life can be extremely difficult here and essential resources are not readily available.
The addition of a family member suffering from some type of ailment, such as cataract blindness, causes survival itself to become a challenge.

NEPAL
In Nepal, the Tej Kohli & Ruit Foundation has cured 26,717 people of needless cataract blindness.
GHANA
The Ghanaian Health Service stated that 227,920 people in the country were blind. We have cured 1000 people in Ghana so far.
BHUTAN
In 2022, we partnered with the Bhutanese Ministry of Health to set out to cure a combined total of 10,000 cases of cataract blindness by 2026.
ETHIOPIA
An estimated 1.8 million Ethiopians suffer needlessly from cataracts. We plan to take our mission to Ethiopia in April 2023.
